“The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew.” ~Abraham Lincoln

In the past three years, Pansy has simply tried to live as best as she could while living on the edges of the war going on. Pansy never became a Death Eater during the war, but even though Pansy wasn’t a Death Eater, she did favour the ‘Dark side’. This was mostly because it was the contingent she interacted with the most, both growing up and during the war. Between her parents and her friends, she was always on the edge of Voldemort, the Death Eaters, and some of their activities, even if she was never fully immersed. Of course, Pansy kept herself as neutral as she could, politically, though the general consensus was that she was a Death Eater, or, at the very least, a strong supporter of Voldemort.

Two years into the war, Pansy’s father died of a heart attack, and after his funeral, her mother declared that she had to get away from everything to be able to properly put her life together after her husband’s death. And she did get away. To the family’s chateau in France where she has been ever since.

Career-wise, Pansy is an heiress and a socialite. She has really never had much of an interest in any of the more common jobs, and she figures there must be a reason why the uncommon jobs are uncommon. Her family’s money is more (much more) than enough to sustain her. Of course, she has taken her time and used it wisely; she has become quite familiar with both world politics and the politics of the upper class.

“Diplomacy is the art of letting someone else have your way.” ~Daniele Vare

“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.” ~ Anais Nin
